The spec-sheet read

Our analysis of the sourced spec sheet — positioning and trade-offs, not a hands-on review. We don't score mowers we haven't tested.

The same machine as the SILENO minimo 250 on every published spec except one: Gardena rates it for 500 m² rather than 250.

The SILENO minimo 500 is the larger-area member of Gardena's wire-guided entry line, article 15202-20, supplied with the same 150 m boundary cable and the same Bluetooth-only control as its smaller sibling. Gardena publishes a 16 cm cutting width, a 20–45 mm height range, 6.1 kg, IPX5 sealing, 57 dB(A), roughly 70 minutes of mowing against a 60-minute recharge, 25% slopes inside the working area and 10% at the wire, and a 60 cm CorridorCut passage.

Read that list against the minimo 250 and the striking thing is that nothing changes. On Gardena's own pages the two share every published figure — cut, heights, weight, noise, runtime, recharge, sealing and slope — and differ only in rated working area. That is not a transcription slip: Gardena rates working area as what a machine manages across a mowing week rather than per charge, so a higher figure reflects scheduling headroom rather than more hardware. The practical implication is that the choice between them is a question of lawn size alone, and that the 500 offers no extra capability on slopes, in long grass or in tight corners.

Verification note: Cutting width, cut heights, weight, runtime, recharge and IPX rating are quoted from Gardena's Australian product page; working area, both slope figures, noise, the 60 cm passage, Bluetooth control and the 150 m cable are confirmed on Gardena International. Two circulating third-party spec sets — one giving 6.2 kg, 20–50 mm, 65 min mowing, 75 min charging and 58 dB(A), another giving 12 kg — contradict Gardena's own pages and are not used. Battery voltage and capacity are not published by Gardena and are left unspecified. Gardena publishes no RRP on its international, Austrian, German or Australian sites, so no price is shown. This is a reading of the published specification, not a hands-on test.
