The HP164 is the simplest way into petrol with a recognised name behind it: an 18 kg polypropylene-chassis push mower with Mountfield's own ST120 123 cc engine, a 39 cm cut and a 40 L collector, recoil-started and collect-only. Mountfield rates it for small lawns up to roughly 800 m², and the STIGA/Mountfield dealer network is a genuine plus for parts and service at this end of the market.
It is deliberately basic — no self-propulsion, no mulch or side discharge, and a 2-year warranty rather than the 5 years on Mountfield's self-propelled models. For a flat, small lawn where light weight and easy handling matter more than features, that simplicity is the point. (It replaces the older HP46; this is the current 39 cm push model.)
