The iMOW 5 EVO is the mid-size model in STIHL's 2024 EVO generation, rated for 1,500 m² on a boundary wire with a 45% slope limit — the steepest of the wired robots in our catalogue. Its 28 cm cutting width is the widest of any wired machine here and second only to the 40 cm all-wheel-drive Mammotion and Dreame units overall, which is what lets a single robot cover that area. Cut height starts at 20 mm, it is rated at 61 dB(A), supports multiple zones and is app-controlled with anti-theft protection. STIHL UK lists it at £2,239 including VAT.

That price puts it in the premium tier alongside the wire-free flagships, so the buying question is whether a wire is acceptable: for 1,500 m² the wire-free alternatives in our catalogue are either the larger and pricier 430V NERA (4,800 m²) or a step down to an 800 m² Navimow i208 or Automower 308V. STIHL's published sheet is thinner than most on the numbers that decide a robot's rhythm — battery capacity, mowing time per charge, recharge time and weight are not stated — so the 1,500 m² and 45% figures should be read as rated ceilings rather than a per-charge measure.
